Mayat laki-laki tersebut ditemukan pertama kali oleh karyawan RM ratu, Julailah yang saat itu sedang menyapu disekitaran tempat kejadian perkara (TKP).
Berdasarkan informasi mayat tersebut bernama Hendra (30) warga Desa Taba Teret Kecamatan Taba Penanjung Benteng.
Penemuan mayat itu berawal saat Julaiha sedang menyapu di dekat wc dan mendengar orang berkata panas panas sekira pukul 12.30 Wib, kemudian sekira jam 13.30 korban minta minum.
Sekira pukul 14.30 Wib korban ditemukan meninggal dunia di dalam kamar wc dengan posisi duduk dan bersandar didinding.
Kapolres Benteng, AKBP Andjas Adipermana didampingi Kasat Reskrim, Iptu Rahmat membenarkan penemuan mayat tersebut, dikatakannya pihak kepolisian telah melakukan olah TKP sementara dan mayat sudah dibawa ke Rumah Sakit Umum Daerah (RSUD) Benteng untuk tindakan lebih lanjut.
