RDNews.id – Gubernur Bengkulu, Rohidin Mersyah sambut baik rencana pembangunan Pangkalan Udara TNI Angkatan Laut (Lanudal) Bengkulu.
Hal ini disampaikan Gubernur Rohidin usai menggelar rapat bersama Tim Puspenerbal TNI Angkatan Laut (AL) di ruang rapat lantai III pemprov Bengkulu.
“Prinsip saya menyambut baik. Saya kira ini akan membuat dinamikasi ekonomi dan keamanan Bengkulu semakin baik,” jelas mantan wakil bupati Bengkulu Selatan ini, 29/01.
Pasalnya menurut Gubernur Bengkulu kesepuluh ini, Bengkulu memiliki garis panjang pantai 525 KM mulai dari ujung Kabupaten Kaur hingga Kabupaten Mukomuko serta keberadaan pulau terluar seperti Pulau Enggano yang berhadapan langsung dengan Samudera Hindia.
“Seiring dengan akan dikembangkannya Bandara Fatnawati Soerkano menjadi Bandara Internasional oleh PT. Anggasa Pura II, tentu ini juga membutuhkan pengamanan yang lebih, sehingga sangat tepat waktunya TNI Al yang juga merencanakan membangun pangkalan udara di area bandara,” terang lulus terbaik UGM ini.
Maka dari itu, tambah Gubernur Rohidin, ini akan ditindaklajuti dengan melakukan koordinasi dengan PT. Angkasa Pura II. Karena hal ini terkait dengan rancangan mengembangan induk bandara. Termasuk sarana prasarana yang sudah didesain.
Kemudian juga akan berkoordinasi dengan kementerian perhubungan terkait dengan status aset lahan dan rencana pembangunan Lanudal yang memerlukan lahan seluas 6 Ha yang beraada di kawasan bandara.
“Saya rasa bukan hal yang sulit untuk mengalokasikan hal itu,” tegas bapak tiga anak ini penuh optimis.
Sementara pertimbangan pembentukan Lanudal Bengkulu menurut Kolonel Laut (P) Kicky Salvachdie Dir Perencanaan dan Pengembangan Pusat Penerbangan TNI AL (Dirrenbang Puspenerbal) adalah pertama untuk menangkal bahaya musuh yang datangnya dari sisi barat perairan pulau Sumatera (Samudera Hindia).
Kedua, memberikan dukungan logistik kepada unsur-unsur TNI Angkatan Laut khususnya PESUD TNI Angkatan Laut.
Ketiga, mendukung peningkatan keamanan pengamanan di kawasan bandara. Keempat, menimbulkan rasa aman bagi masyarakat di wilayah pulau Sumatera bagian Barat khususnya di Bengkulu sehingga akan membantu meningkatnya perekonomian masyarakat.
Kelima, membantu penanggulangan terjadinya bencana alam baik logistik maupun evakuasi medis bagi korban bencana. (ypb)
