RDNews.id – Bupati Kabupaten Bengkulu Selatan (BS), Gusnan Mulyadi minta kepada Pengurus Komite Olahraga Nasional Indonesia (KONI) BS fokus dalam bekerja untuk mengukir prestasi di bidang olahraga.
Sebagai langkah awal, Bupati minta KONI untuk menetapkan beberapa cabang olahraga unggulan.
Gusnan juga minta kepada KONI dan Seluruh Pengcab agar tidak semata-semata bekerja tergantung dengan anggaran. Karena, menurut Bupati, banyak hal yang bisa dilakukan meski tidak didukung anggaran yang besar.
“Anggaran pemerintah daerah untuk KONI mencapai Rp 1 Miliar lebih. Dengan anggaran tersebut, outcome nya harus jelas. Prestasi apa yang tercipta dari anggaran tersebut,” tegas Gusnan.
Gusnan tidak ingin, keberadaan KONI dan Pengcab olahraga hanya membebani anggaran, tanpa adanya prestasi.
“Saya sependapat, pengcab dan KONI ini jangan hanya sarana untuk mengambil anggaran daerah saja. Kepada inspektorat saya minta untuk melakukan audit rutin, karena ini uang negara, yang harus jelasa penggunanaannya,” beber Bupati.
Gusnan juga meminta KONI untuk menginventarisir seluruh atlet Bengkulu Selatan yang saat ini berada di luar daerah.
“Banyak atlet kita yang berprestasi, ada atlet panahan kita yang sudah ke nasional, renang, takraw, ada yang tarung bebas dan lainnya. Ini perlu didata, baik yanh di Bengkulu Selatan maupun yang di luar daerah,” harap Gusnan.
Selain mendata atlet yang berprestasi, Bupati juga menekankan KONI dan Pengcab agar melakukan pembinaan atlet secara berkelanjutan sejakndini. Sehingga bisa menciptalan atlet yang berprestasi.
“Alhamdulillah, dari diskusi tadi, banyak masukan dan berbagai permasalahan yang kita dapatkan, mulai dari permasalahan atlet, fasilitas dan lain sebagainya. Ini menjadi catatan penting bagi pemerintah daerah untuk program pembangunan olahraga,” ujar Gusnan.
Sementara itu, Ketua KONI BS, Susga Anwar menyampaikan, program jangka pendek KONI BS saat ini adalah untuk menghadap Pekan Olahraga Provinsi yang direncanakan akan digelar pada Bulan Juni nanti.
“Porpov ini nanti bisa kita manfaatkan sebagai wadah pendataan atlet-atlet dan menjadi salah satu indikator untuk menentukan Cabang Olahraga unggulan,” pungkas Susga Anwar.
