RDNews.id – Walikota Banjarmasin Ibnu Sina turut menghadiri Deklarasi Jaringan Media Siber Indonesia (JMSI) di Hotel Aria Barito, Sabtu, 8 Februari 2020, yang bertepatan dengan momentum Hari Pers Nasional (HPN) 2020 di Provinsi Kalimantan Selatan.
Keesokan harinya, Minggu, 9 Februari 2020, JMSI yang dipimpin langsung Plt Ketua Umum JMSI Mahmud Marhaba bersilaturahmi ke Rumah Dinas Walikota Banjarmasin.
Suasana hangat dan diskusi ringan mengenai pembangunan tersaji di pertemuan itu. Ibnu Sina banyak bercerita tentang konsep pembangunan yang telah berhasil ia lakukan di Banjarmasin. Begitu juga dengan JMSI, yang siap menjadi mitra pembangunan, sekaligus kunjungan balasan atas kehadirannya di acara deklarasi.
”Kunjungan kita ke walikota ini mengawali program kerja dari JMSI,” kata Mahmud Marhaba.
Salah satu program menarik yang disampaikan orang nomor satu di Banjarmasin ini adalah program menekan angka sampah plastik sebanyak 3 persen dari total 600 ton sampah per hari. Sejak Peraturan Walikota Nomor 18 Tahun 2016 diterapkan, seluruh pusat perbelanjaan ritel modern, dilarang menyediakan kantong plastik bagi pelanggannya.
Masyarakat dianjurkan untuk membawa bakul purun dari rumah jika hendak berbelanja ke pusat-pusat perbelanjaan modern.
”Mindset masyarakat yang biasa berbelanja mendapatkan kantong plastik akhirnya bisa diubah, dan mereka membawa sendiri wadah belanjanya dari rumah,” ungkap Walikota.
Dengan berubahnya mindset ini, secara tidak langsung juga membuka peluang berkembangnya industri kreatif para pengrajin bakul purun. Produksi pengrajin bakul purun terus meningkat bahkan sering mendapatkan pesanan dari kementerian.
Keberhasilan program ini kemudian menarik salah satu anggota JMSI dari Padang, Sumatera Barat, yang berjanji akan menceritakan program ini ke Walikota Padang.
”Kita akan mencoba berkomunikasi dengan Walikota Padang, mudah-mudahan program pelarangan kantong plastik ini juga bisa diterapkan di Kota Padang,” ujar Syahrial Azis, yang akrab disapa Uda Yal ini.
Realisasi program ini juga terbukti saat ketiga perwakilan JMSI dari Provinsi Bengkulu secara random mencoba berbelanja di beberapa retail modern di Kota Seribu Sungai itu.
“Maaf pak kita tidak menyediakan kantong plastik lagi sejak tiga tahun terakhir,” ucap salah seorang karyawan salah satu retail saat JMSI Bengkulu meminta kantong plastik.
Pertemuan dengan Walikota Ibnu Sina sendiri diakhiri dengan foto bersama dan para perwakilan media yang tergabung dalam JMSI mendapatkan ole-ole berupa Bakul Purun dan Kain Sasirangan.
Dikutip dari berbagai sumber, Bakul Purun terbuat dari Purun, jenis tumbuhan rumput yang hidup liar di dekat air atau rawa. Di Kalimantan Selatan, purun banyak tersebar di kawasan lahan rawa sejumlah daerah, seperti Kabupaten Barito Kuala, Banjar, Tapin, Hulu Sungai Selatan dan Hulu Sungai Utara. Tak hanya dibuat tas, Purun juga menjadi bahan baku pembuatan tikar, kipas, dan lain-lain. Bakul Purun erat kaitannya dengan filosopi Suku Banjar tentang keterampilan hidup, bahwa orang Banjar harus punya keterampilan.
Sementara Kain Sasirangan adalah kain khas Suku Banjar, salah satu makna filosofis yang terkandung di dalamnya adalah sebagai kain penyembuh. Konon katanya kain ini berfungsi untuk mengobati berbagai jenis penyakit. (ypb/rls)
