RDNews.id – Riau dipercaya sebagai tuan rumah Kongres Nasional Jaringan Media Siber Indonesia (JMSI) yang dijadwalkan pada minggu ketiga Juni 2020. Kongres ini direncanakan dibuka langsung Menteri Komunikasi dan Informatika (Menkominfo) Johnny G Plate.
Demikian diungkapkan Plt Ketua JMSI Riau H Dheni Kurnia dalam rapat yang digelar di salah satu kafe di Pekanbaru, Jumat (21/2).
Dalam rapat yang dihadiri 25 lebih pemilik media online yang menyatakan bergabung dengan JMSI Riau tersebut juga ditetapkan Yanto Budiman Situmeang sebagai Ketua, Ridho M Haztil Sekretaris dan Novita sebagai Bendahara.
Dheni Kurnia menambahkan, dalam Kongres Nasional JMSI pertama tersebut akan hadir sejumlah tamu penting. Selain Menkominfo, bakal hadiri Ketua PWI Pusat, Ketua Dewan Kehormatan PWI pusat, Gubernur Riau, dan sejumlah tamu penting lainnya.
Dia berharap agar panitia yang telah terbentuk, bisa bekerjasama dalam sebuah tim yang kompak, hingga Kongres Nasional JMSI pertama di Riau ini bisa berjalan dengan lancar dan sukses.
“Mari bersama-sama kita sukseskan Kongres Pertama JMSI ini. Dengan waktu yang tersedia, kita optimalkan peran masing-masing di kepanitiaan,” ajak Dheni.
Sementara Ketua Panitia Kongres Nasional JMSI Pertama Provinsi Riau Yanto Budiman mengatakan, sebagai langkah awal, dalam waktu dekat akan dilakukan audiensi dengan Gubernur Riau.
“Dalam waktu dekat ini kita akan mengadakan audiensi dengan Pak Gubernur, guna melaporkan kongres nasional JMSI pertama di Riau, sekaligus meminta dukungan,” ujarnya.
Sebelumnya, Plt. Ketum JMSI Mahmud Marhaba memberikan apresiasi atas kerja keras Pengurus JMSI Riau yang telah mengambil langkah strategis untuk membentuk Panitia Munas JMSI I di Bumi Lancang Kuning ini.
”Ini akan menjadi sebuah tongkak sejarah atas berdirinya organisasi perusahan Pers di Indoensia,” ujarnya.
Diketahui bahwa JMSI lahir dari sebuah kepedulian bersama pemilik media di 22 provinsi di tanah air. Untuk itu dirinya mengharapkan agar Munas I ini akan menjadi sebuah gerakan kepedulian terhadap perjuangan Pers di Indonesia.
